Power-split devices are integral in hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), as they link the internal combustion engine (ICE) with the electric motor and generator. In order to reduce the costs of the devices, as well as diminish noise vibration harshness (NVH), a company that develops magnetic transmissions and motors is developing a power-split device that could be a “breakthrough technology” for the hybrid segment.
