Production of carbon fibre EVs gains momentum in China

With vehicle lightweighting gaining momentum, and with that the use of carbon fibre composites, a company in China has opened a carbon fibre electric vehicle plant

A recent research report has suggested that carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP), a lightweight material that has piqued the interest of automotive manufacturers, could gain widespread adoption, particularly in the area of vehicle lightweighting, by 2025. This estimate is based on a faster-than-anticipated pace of technology development.
