Headquartered in Troy, Michigan, Dayco is a global leader in highly engineered engine management systems and technology for passenger cars and commercial vehicles (CVs). Its key products include a range of belts, tensioners, pulleys and dampers.
The company recently announced that its Springdale facility in Arkansas had surpassed one million work hours without a lost time accident. Commenting on the achievement, Garrett Stricker, Environmental, Health and Safety Manager, Dayco, said: “We make the safety of our employees and the environment a top priority. The one million hour achievement shows the corporate and site commitment to provide its associates with a safe workplace. In manufacturing, an uncontrolled hazard is an accident waiting to happen. This achievement reiterates our focus on safety within the manufacturing environment and Dayco’s ‘safety first’ mentality. It is a milestone on the path to an incident-free workplace.”
