Novelis, the world’s largest producer of rolled aluminium, has expanded its automotive operations in Europe with the opening of a heat treatment line near its rolling mill in Nachterstedt, Germany. Once it reaches full production, the US$85m investment will boost the plant’s automotive sheet capacity to 350kt per year. 56 jobs have been created.
