NEVS takes short-cut to plug portfolio gap

NEVS signed a deal to provide delivery vans and minibuses before it even had the models in its line-up. An acquisition agreement with New Long Ma fixes that. By Megan Lampinen

National Electric Vehicle Sweden (NEVS) is taking steps to expand its model line-up, even while production remains halted and sales on hold. The company, which acquired the assets of bankrupt Saab in 2012 but then fell into financial difficulties itself, has been preparing plans for a line-up of electric vehicles (EVs) under its new Chinese owners.
