NAIAS no-shows signal ‘no launch, no point’ mentality

Auto shows are becoming more specialised as to their audiences

Vehicle manufacturers with new products to showcase are gearing up for the opening of the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit in early January. This year's event is expected to host more than 40 debuts, but at the same time the no-show list has been growing. Already, the likes of Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), Mini, Tesla and Bentley have confirmed that they will not put in an appearance.
