In late October, the European Commission (EC) put forth a proposal that would raise permitted NOx emission levels from cars by up to 110% as part of a package to introduce a real driving emissions (RDE) test procedure. While some supporters claim it is better than nothing, others want to aim higher. Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) recently debated the pros and cons of a veto on Rule 106.
