Japanese OEMs adapt to an ageing workforce

Honda will raise the retirement age at its plants, mirroring a similar move by Toyota

Honda has announced it will raise the retirement age at its Japanese facilities to 65, up from 60. Pending approval from the Japan Automobile Workers’ Unions, the changes will take effect by March 2017.
