Indonesian auto manufacturing segment sees mixed fortunes

GM has decided to end manufacturing operations in Indonesia; Mitsubishi, on the other hand, has decided to set up a local manufacturing JV

Last year, new vehicle sales in Indonesia fell 1.8% year-on-year from 1,229,901 units in 2013 to 1,208,019. This trend of declining sales has continued into 2015 as well, with January witnessing a 9.1% contraction of the Indonesian automotive market.
