Two electric vehicles (EVs) sold in the UK now qualify for the full £3,750 (US$5,053) discount under the government's new subsidy scheme, announced in July 2025 as part of wider efforts to revitalise the country's EV market and boost local manufacturing. Ford's Puma Gen-E and E-Tourneo Courier are the sole recipients of the maximum rebate, after ministers implemented an elaborate ranking system based on carbon emissions during production.
