Bridgestone has developed a new fuel efficient and high grip tyre for the Ferrari California T

The requirement for more fuel-efficient vehicles is increasing, and companies across the entire supply base are seeking new ways to help their OEM customers bump up fuel efficiency figures.

Bridgestone has developed a new fuel efficient and high grip tyre for the Ferrari California T, using its molecular knowledge to optimise the mixture ratio and reaction among carbon, silica and rubber. According to Bridgestone, this reduces rolling road resistance – the friction generated between the tyre and the road whilst the vehicle is moving – and as a direct result, increases fuel economy.
