New car demand remains strong across the EU, with May figures rising 4.5% year-on-year to 1,093,448 units. While May marks the ninth consecutive month of growth, it is still the second lowest result among all the May figures since ACEA began the series in 2003 with the enlarged EU. For the January-May period, new car registrations remained up 6.9% at 5,431,921 units.
