According to a recent report by the American Automobile Association (AAA), US drivers have been taking advantage of the cheapest quarterly gasoline prices in 12 years during the first three months of 2016. The national average cost of a gallon in the first quarter was US$1.86, and prices are “expected to remain relatively low compared to recent years.” But the association thinks that consumers are concerned by the prospect of a dramatic change.
