Cyber attack shuts down JLR production, sales

Workers at JLR’s UK plants have been told not to come into work as the automaker shuts down systems to contain the cyber attack. By Stewart Burnett

Jaguar Land Rover has shut down production at its UK manufacturing facilities following a cyber attack that has severely disrupted operations across the premium automaker's global network. Workers at the Halewood plant in Merseyside were instructed not to report for work on 1 September, while staff at the Solihull facility were also sent home as JLR proactively shut down IT systems to contain the breach.
