C-Suite the biggest hurdle to cyber security, says US start-up

Silent Cyber argues that top senior executives need to loosen the reins on bought-in cyber security developers. By Freddie Holmes

Various suppliers have either partnered with or acquired niche players in the cyber security space in order to protect the connected car. In 2013, Symphony Teleca (which is now owned by Harman) partnered with Movimento to develop a secure over-the-air software update, while in September 2015 Magna partnered with Argus to “bridge the gap between car connectivity and security.” Following in January 2016, Harman acquired network protection specialist Towersec.

Founded in 2014, Maryland-based start-up Silent Cyber is comprised of various cyber security experts.
