Betting blind: the evolution of 48-v technology is unclear

Several Tier 1 suppliers will be upping their game in the 48-volt (48-v) segment during 2016, according David Alexander, Senior Research Analyst with Navigant Research. He believes that a combination of new testing procedures and increasing demand for efficiency will act as a catalyst for 48-v system sales, but voices concern over the direction that the technology is taking.
