A recent survey by Germany-based market research agency GfK revealed that ‘leading edge consumers’ (LECs) find strong appeal in cars that feature high levels of connectivity.
In a survey conducted in Brazil, Germany, Russia, the UK, the US and China, GfK asked 5,800 consumers to rate the appeal of different types of car concepts, including connected and autonomous driving cars. The appeal of a connected car came out on top, but interestingly, autonomous driving did not present the same level of attraction to consumers.
