Jaguar Land Rover’s recycled aluminium car (REALCAR) project was launched in 2008, with the goal of creating a closed-loop recycling network that can build quality cars using aluminium scrap generated in the panel cutting process, and with aluminium recovered from vehicles that have reached the end of their lives. Almost all aluminium can be melted down and reformed without losing quality.
