African vehicle market similar to turn-of-the-century China, report finds

A slight dip in new vehicle sales across Africa in 2015 will be followed by successive years of growth, but second-hand imports continue to complicate the situation

According to new research by Automotive World, demand for light vehicles (LV) across the continent will rise to over 2 million units per annum (upa) by 2019. Demand for heavy commercial vehicles (HCVs) will also increase to almost 230,000upa, representing a CAGR of 5.6%.
