Automotive components manufacturer Federal-Mogul has named Gian Maria Olivetti to the post of Chief Technology Officer of its Powertrain segment. His appointment is with immediate effect.
As Powertrain’s CTO, Olivetti will oversee global coordination of all engineering, research and product development activities for Federal-Mogul’s powertrain technologies. He will also serve as the supplier’s chief technical spokesman at industry and professional association events.
Olivetti will report to Federal-Mogul’s Co-Chief Executive Officer and CEO of its Powertrain segment, Rainer Jueckstock. Olivetti has been with the company since 2007, when he joined as Vice President, research and development, for Pistons, Rings and Liners. Prior to joining Federal-Mogul, he was with Fiat Group, where he last served as Executive Director, worldwide engines and transmissions R&D responsibility for Iveco.
