(SDK) has completed an additional production line for its proprietary VGCF (vapour-grown carbon fibre) at its Kawasaki Plant, Kanagawa Prefecture, doubling total production capacity for the product from 100 to 200 tons/year. VGCF is used as an additive in anodes and cathodes of lithium-ion rechargeable batteries (LiBs).
