US: GM suspends engine output at Tonawanda plant

General Motors has suspended production of engines for the Chevrolet Colorado/GMC Canyon mid-size pick-ups at its Tonawanda Engine Plant in Buffalo, New York. In this regard, the OEM has temporarily laid-off 59 workers at the plant, Associated Press said. The Colorado/Canyon pick-ups are produced at GM's assembly plant in Shreveport, Louisiana.
