US: Ford reports net income of US$2.6bn in Q2

Ford has reported net earnings of US$2,599m in Q2 2010, up US338m from the US$2,261m reported in Q2 2009. Ford Automotive operations recorded a Q2 2010 pre-tax operating profit of US$2,067m, a US$3,216m improvement from the Q2 2009 result and US$872m higher than Q1 2010 earnings.
