At a highly anticipated press conference, Elon Musk outlined plans for Tesla to broaden its horizons. He announced that the company will start building stationary batteries that provide power to homes and businesses in a bid to change the “entire energy infrastructure of the world,” whilst simultaneously reaching new markets and customers outside of the automotive industry.
