Toyota's sales in Japan were down 12.1% year-on-year (YoY) in August 2025, according to data published by the automaker on 29 September. It attributed this to "operational stoppages and delivery delays" following a magnitude 8.8 earthquake that struck the eastern coast of the Kamchatka Peninsula on 30 July.
