Distracted driving is a huge problem for the global automotive industry. Statistics from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) show that 3,477 deaths were caused on US roads by driver distraction in 2015 alone up from 3,129 in 2014, while 391,000 people were injured.
Numerous approaches can be taken to minimise driver distraction, but one of the most effective could be the use of advanced in-car assistants.
