Europe's new vehicle market was relatively flat in October but remains on pace to end the year with single-digit growth. According to data from ACEA, passenger car registrations across the EU dipped a modest 0.02% year-on-year (YoY) to 1,104,506 units. Notably, most of the larger markets had one fewer selling day in October 2016 than in 2015. October's minor dip follows a 7.2% rise in September, which saw the strongest seasonally adjusted annual rate (SAAR) of sales since May 2009. The month before that sales were up 10%.
