Klaus-Dieter Schürmann, previously Board of Management Member for Finance of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, and Winfried Krause, previously Member of the Board of Management for Commercial Affairs of Škoda Auto, are to exchange their functions: with effect from August 1, 2016, Krause (54) has been appointed member of the brand Board of Management of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles responsible for Finance and IT. Schürmann (52) is to assume responsibility for Commercial Affairs on the Board of Management of Škoda Auto.

Klaus-Dieter Schürmann holds a degree in business administration and has been with the Volkswagen Group since 1990. He became President and CEO of Volkswagen Credit and a member of the management team of Volkswagen of America in 1995. He was General Manager of Financial Services AG from 2000 to 2002 and was a member of the Board of Management from 2003 and Spokesperson of the Board of Volkswagen Bank GmbH from 2007. In 2008, he was appointed Member of the Board of Management of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles responsible for Finance and IT.

Winfried Krause holds a degree in business administration and began his career with the Group in sales controlling at Audi in 1991. From 1993, he held responsibility for various Volkswagen controlling and finance departments in Wolfsburg, Puebla (Mexico) and Palmela (Portugal). In 2001, Krause was named Head of Divisional Controlling at Volkswagen AG. From 2006, he was Head of Volkswagen Group Controlling before being appointed Member of the Board of Management of Škoda Auto responsible for Commercial Affairs in 2010.
