VW to turn US from sore spot to strength

Volkswagen wants to turn the US market into a key growth region, writes Megan Lampinen

The US has long been a sore spot for Volkswagen, though the company is pushing ahead with a long-term strategy for the pivotal market. April didn't see much advancement, as its US sales fell 9.65% in a market that was up more than 3%. For the year-to-date, VW of America's sales are down 11.7% at 96,426 units.
