Falling sales force two-week halt at GM Brazilian plant

As the Brazilian automotive market continues to contract, vehicle manufacturers are opting for temporary shutdowns to keep production levels down

General Motors recently announced suspension of production at one of its facilities in Brazil, owing to trouble over an agreement of fees with two transport companies. According to the OEM, production at the Gravatai assembly plant in Rio Grande do Sul was suspended, resulting in the idling of around 9,000 workers.
