A new aerodynamic body modification kit has been launched for heavy-duty commercial vehicles (CVs) that reduces drag and lowers carbon emissions of the truck.
Wirth Research, an Oxfordshire, UK-based company, has launched the motorsport inspired WR AeroKit as part of a long running strategy to use its core motorsport capabilities to diversify into new sectors. Detailed Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis was undertaken to understand the designs and air flow modifications required to reduce the aerodynamic drag of heavy-duty CVs. According to a company statement, “The results were outstanding.”
