BMW’s Reithofer ends CEO stint with record quarter

BMW Chief Executive Norbert Reithofer managed to end his last full quarter in the CEO seat on a strong note.

BMW Chief Executive Norbert Reithofer managed to end his last full quarter in the CEO seat on a strong note. He has described the Q1 performance as a "good start" to the year due in part to its diversified sales base, and leaves his successor Harald Krüger to carry on the momentum. The executive change will officially take effect at the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting on 13 May 2015, at which time Reithofer will take on the role of Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
