Exactly a year ago, the Malaysian government unveiled the revised National Automotive Policy (NAP) 2014. This move was primarily aimed at making Malaysia a hub for energy-efficient vehicles through incentives for production of such models. At the time, the country's Minister of International Trade and Industry, Mustapa Mohamed, said NAP 2014 comprised a total financial package of around Ringgits 2bn (US$554.16m).
