Volvo Cars of North America, LLC, (VCNA) reported December U.S. sales of 4,920 units, a 0.7 increase from December 2013. The top seller for the month was the XC60 crossover with 2,079 units sold, a 31.5 percent increase from December 2013. The S60 sports sedan finished the month with 1,866 units sold. For the full year, VCNA sold 56,366 units, a 7.9 percent decrease from 2013.
Recently revealed to much acclaim, the all-new XC90 will begin production at the end of this month. With world-leading safety features, an unrivalled combination of power and fuel efficiency, including the world’s first seven-seat plug-in hybrid, and a striking design, it will signal a new era of success for Volvo Cars.
