Volvo Cars of North America, LLC, (VCNA) reported U.S. sales of 4,894 units for the month of July. Year-to-date sales are down 11 percent versus the first seven months of 2013.

The top seller for July was the S60 sports sedan with 1,739 units sold, and the XC60 crossover finished the month right behind with 1,732 units sold.

Ending production this month was the iconic XC90, a car that revolutionized the global SUV sector for 12 highly successful years. The end of production on the first generation makes way for the start of the all-new XC90, which will be revealed this month and will start production at the end of January 2015. With features including the most comprehensive and technologically sophisticated standard safety package available in the industry, it will signal a new era of success.
