In November, 2013, SAE International worked with CVCapital, a leading financial advisory firm in China, for them to host the Financial Session of the SAE 2013 New Energy Vehicle Forum in Shanghai. By participating in the Forum and working with CVCapital, a well-known U.S. company in the electric vehicle industry was able to secure $60M in funding. For confidentiality reasons, SAE International is not allowed to release the name of the company receiving the funding at this time.
The SAE New Energy Vehicle Forum gathers industry technical experts, engineers and academics for the latest technical information and trends in the NEV industry. In addition to a Technology track, SAE International provides an exchange platform through a Business Development track for the automotive, finance, investment and associated service industries. This meeting is targeted to those that have or are seeking technology and business in the EV, PHEV or Fuel Cell sectors of the automotive industry. Whether a financial advisor, investor, component or system manufacturer or OEM, this event offers a wealth of technology, capital and business development information and opportunities. Most importantly, this forum fosters face-to-face communication and brainstorming for participants that advances the New Energy Vehicle industry worldwide.
The SAE 2013 New Energy Vehicle Forum achieved great success: $60M in funding for a US participant company and 300 attendees and speakers from a wide diversity of companies. Building on this momentum, SAE International and Shanghai International Auto City will host the SAE 2014 New Energy Vehicle Forum at the Crowne Plaza Anting Golf Resort on September 24-25, 2014.
