Since its launch in 2006, the Tiggo series has won the trust and preference of over 800,000 consumers worldwide for its outstanding quality. Tiggo 5 attracted great market attention in its debut in China in 2013. Within only one year, it has been owned by 100,000 drivers worldwide. By virtue of its outstanding safety performance, it has recently been rated as a five-star model in China’s authoritative safety test – C-NCAP.
The Tiggo 5 was built by world-leading automobile designers from such automakers as Porsche and Mercedes-Benz. As a new-generation strategic model of Tiggo, Tiggo 5 inherits the fine gene of Chery TX concept car which won the grand award at the Geneva International Motor Show. Inspired by “water”, the body perfectly combines streamlines with solid style to make Tiggo 5 visually vigorous and trendy.
In terms of trafficability, the efficient powertrain of the 2.0L DVVT engine and the 7CVT transmission, along with the stable platform-based S.W SUV chassis system, enables Tiggo 5 to overcome slopes and bumpy roads easily. The body size of 4,506 x 1,841 x 1,740mm and the ultra long wheelbase of 2,610mm give better riding experience in the front and rear seats. For driving convenience, the humanized functions such as keyless entry, reversing radar and cruise control were added to make Tiggo 5 superior over other SUV models of its segment.
