North Africa layout, Chery initiates brand operations in Tunisia

On October 18, 2016, Chery held a ceremonious brand launch conference at its first modern network in Tunisia with six star models-New QQ (Euro IV & V), Fulwin 2, Arrizo 3, Tiggo 3 and Tiggo 5. Bian Yanhua, Chinese Ambassador to Tunisia; Du Weiqiang, Executive Deputy General Manager of Chery International; Liang Yong, Automobile Sales Department Director of Chery Overseas Investment Corporation; General Manager Moneim and Deputy General Manager Amen of Chery’s Tunisian distributor S.T.A.; as well as 92 local media representatives attended the launch conference, witnessing the historical moment of Chery’s entry into Tunisia.

The white & red-toned scene was festive, elegant, solemn and lively, showing the youthfulness of Chery brand. Six star models differing in style were well arranged around the showroom, drawing high attention and earning unanimous praise from the guests and journalists present.

Mr. Du said, as the first Chinese auto brand that entered the international market, Chery has been China’s largest passenger vehicle exporter for 13 consecutive years. Chery has an advanced R&D system, internationalized standard production processes, integrated production lines, as well as rich marketing resources and experience. Chery has reached high consensus with S.T.A in product planning, marketing concept and service assurance. S.T.A. has tremendous strength and experienced executive teams. Driven by the cooperation concept of “mutual complementation, win-win development”, the two strong enterprises will associate for mutual development, and provide even better products and services for Tunisian consumers, continuously and stably.

The six products launched are new models that Chery decided to introduce to Tunisia through mass early market analyses and surveys. They represent Chery’s top strength in manufacturing processes, technology and interconnection. The new models cover a wide range, and can basically meet the demands of Tunisian consumers on different segments, They will offer Tunisian consumers new experience. In view of segments and consumer demands, Chery launched New QQ and Arrizo 3 in Tunisia first. New QQ includes two models up to Euro IV & V emission standards. With dynamic and lovely appearance, and dexterous and superior control, New QQ has been recognized by one million consumers in over 80 countries and regions. Arrizo 3 has earned good market reputation for its humanized design superior to other models in the same segment.

To meet Tunisia’s ever-growing consumption demands, Chery has established its first sales service network in association with S.T.A. The network was constructed according to Chery’s international network management standards and processes, and will strictly implement the uniform service standards of Chery International to effectively ensure service quality. Over the two weeks since its opening, the network has attracted nearly 1,000 consumers, bringing greater vitality and confidence into Chery’s development in Tunisia.

With a total area of 25,000 square meters, the network comprises a 1,200-square-meter showroom and a 2,500-square-meter service station. Integrating functions such as vehicle sales, parts, repair, maintenance, after-sales services, warehousing and information feedback, it shows the Tunisian distributor’s confidence in and attention to Chery brand, and lays a solid foundation for Chery’to strengthen its development in Tunisia.

Tunisia is an important overseas market for Chery. Linking to Europe in the north, Africa in the south, Algeria and other Arab countries rich in oil resources in the east and west, Tunisia has important radiating effects in North Africa. Chery has entered countries such as Egypt and Algeria. This year is the first year that Chery entered Tunisia. The successful entry of Chery into Tunisia marks that its strategic layout in North Africa has basically taken shape.
