We complete our new in-car CD receiver range with the DEH-X8700DAB top model, offering more ways than ever to enjoy a mobile device on the road.
The impressive DEH-X8700DAB sports an eye-catching display with sophisticated sound controls and provides extensive Bluetooth options along with crisp and powerful sound. It supports playback from an iPhone, iPod or Android smartphone via MTP and integrates a front-loading CD slot, a USB port and AUX input. Other convenient features include Siri Eyes Free voice recognition compatibility (for iPhone 4S and later), MIXTRAX EZ virtual DJ technology and DAB digital radio1 with Time Shift function, which allows you to rewind, pause and resume music from DAB transmissions. The DEH X8700BT has the same features but without DAB.
Bluetooth wireless connectivity
The DEH-X8700DAB features built-in Bluetooth2 wireless connectivity for convenient hands-free calling, as well as music streaming with compatible Bluetooth enabled devices. Additionally, the model enables you to pair two phones at once, eliminating the need to choose between your personal or business phone. To simplify the Bluetooth pairing process with iPhone devices, the DEH X8700DAB enables Auto Pairing when using a physical USB connection. Simply connect your iPhone via an iPhone-to-USB cable, and the receiver automatically prompts you to confirm pairing.
The DEH-X8700DAB supports the latest Hands Free Profile (HFP) 1.6 with Wideband Speech, which produces significantly better sound quality for conversations by increasing the frequency bandwidth dedicated to voice calling and doubling the sampling frequency. Thanks to Music Browsing over Bluetooth (AVRCP 1.5), you can search stored music over a wireless connection. Android smartphones enabled with Media Transfer Protocol (MTP) allow you to browse folders containing media via folder type, and browse3in media content folders. If you own an iPhone, you can search through your playlists, artists, songs, and genres.
Additionally, with an iPhone 5/5s/5c or iPhone 4s you can take advantage of the Siri Eyes Free4 functionality with a touch of a button, accessing a variety of functions with voice commands.

With the MIXTRAX virtual DJ, you can transform your music library into a non-stop playlist that delivers a unique DJ-infused listening experience. For better sound quality and system flexibility the DEH-X8700DAB is built with a high-performance MOSFET amplifier and three pairs of RCA pre-outs.
Cosmetic design and functionality
The DEH-X8700DAB has sleek, modern looks with refinements on brightness and custom illumination. We also increased the brightness control providing 10-step intensity levels for easier visualisation and operation. It offers split zone colour illumination and is customisable with more than 210.000 colour variations to match your car’s interior lighting.
Availability
The DEH-X8700DAB/BT will be available as from December 2014 at Pioneer car audio dealerships.
