Mart Verschoor, Vice President Global Engineering & Innovation, BorgWarner Turbo Systems, has been confirmed as a speaker in the Powertrain stream at Automotive Megatrends USA 2015, which takes place on 17 March 2015.
Mart joined BorgWarner in March 2013.
Mart began his career as an Officer and Engineer in the Dutch Merchant Navy. At Honeywell, he held multiple technical, commercial and managerial positions, including Vice President of Engineering and Chief Technology Officer at both Honeywell Transportation Systems and Honeywell Aerospace. At IDEX Corporation, Mart was President and Chief Technology Officer, where he held profit and loss responsibility for the global IDEX Dispensing business. Prior to joining BorgWarner, Mart held the position of Product Line Executive, Engine Management Systems (EMS) and Gasoline Fuel Injection, for Delphi Corporation.
Mart brings over 25 years of hands-on experience with internal combustion engines and engine boosting, from operating large turbocharged 2-stroke slow-speed marine diesel engines to leading various innovative turbocharger development and industrialization programs in the automotive industry.
In 1996, Mart received the AlliedSignal Premier Achievement Award for his leadership in the development of the Garrett VNT15 turbocharger, the first truly high-volume variable geometry turbocharger successfully developed for the automotive industry.Mart has authored several engine boosting and machinery patents.
