Italian Prime Minister, Matteo Renzi, met in Turin today with FCA Chairman, John Elkann, and CEO, Sergio Marchionne.
Mr. Renzi was in Turin to visit FCA’s Design Center and Mirafiori production facilities.
At the Design Center, the Prime Minister was given a preview of several upcoming new models, including the Maserati Levante, the brand’s first ever SUV.
After the Design Center, Mr. Renzi toured the Mirafiori plant, which is currently being retooled for assembly of the Levante. The new model will further increase the Group’s manufacturing activities in Turin, where the Maserati Ghibli and Quattroporte are already in production at the nearby Avv. Giovanni Agnelli plant in Grugliasco.
