On June 25, the World Brand Lab (WBL) released the list of “China’s 500 Most Valuable Brands” in 2014. GWM made the list again with a brand value of 14.357 billion yuan, ranking the 140th, 56 places up from last year. It topped the list of Hebei’s enterprises in terms of brand value and ranking.

According to sources, in the “China’s 500 Most Valuable Brands” ranking, brands from 25 related industries such as food & beverage, textile & apparel, media, information technology, household appliances, automobile and energy were listed this year. The rankings were based on financial analysis, consumer behavior analysis and brand strength. A total of 29 auto brands including FAW, SAIC, BAIC, GWM and Geely were listed, and FAW ranked 1st in the auto industry with a brand value of 123.675 billion yuan.

WBL is an international, professional brand research agency whose research findings have become an important basis in the appraisal of intangible assets in many mergers and acquisitions. The total value and minimum threshold of “China’s 500 Most Valuable Brands” in 2014 was 9.268828 trillion and 1.835 billion yuan respectively.
