Duane Bendzinski, Global Technology Director – Automotive, Novelis has been confirmed as a speaker at Fuel Economy Detroit.
As the Novelis Global Technology Director for the automotive market, Mr. Bendzinski leads the development of new product and process technologies for Novelis’ global production footprint serving vehicle manufacturers across the automotive industry.
Mr. Bendzinski is responsible for the full alignment between R&D, market requirements and the company’s operations. He focuses on identifying and valuing projects for the R&D portfolio and following them into the commercialisation phase, with a focus on speed of execution.
Mr. Bendzinski has more than 30 years of experience in the aluminium industry. Over the course of his career, he has served in various roles with Alcoa and has focused on the automotive market, including posts as Global Manager of Business Development and Application Engineer. Mr. Bendzinski holds a bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering from Michigan Technological University.
