David Alexander, Senior Research Analyst, Navigant Research, confirmed for The Autonomous Car session of the Safety stream on day 2 of Automotive World’s Megatrends Europe 2013, taking place on 13 November 2013.
David Alexander is a senior research analyst contributing to Navigant Research’s Smart Transportation program, with a focus on hybrid technologies, powertrains, and alternative fuels. Alexander has more than 22 years of experience as an engineer in the automotive industry, completing projects for GM, Ford, Volvo, Magna, and several engineering consultancies.
A member of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) for 20 years, Alexander has worked as an editor at SAE, where he wrote and edited detailed technical articles for publications including Automotive Engineering International and Aerospace Engineering magazines. Prior to joining Navigant Research, Alexander was a principal research analyst at ABI Research, where he led the firm’s automotive technology practice. He is often quoted in articles on the latest automotive technology, in leading publications including The Wall Street Journal,Wired, and MSNBC. Alexander holds a BSc degree in mechanical engineering from Brunel University in London, England.
