Clean Motion, a leading producer of sustainable transport solutions, is part of the SOLAR-MOVE consortium together with 34 other public and private stakeholders, including the Danish postal service. The consortium’s application, which totals 8.15 MEUR (of which 7 MEUR is funded by EU Horizon), has been approved, and the consortium is now in the contract negotiation phase with the EU. Clean Motion’s project budget is approximately 400 kEUR, with 290 kEUR funded by the EU. The project is scheduled to begin in Q4 2025 and will further strengthen the company’s product development funding by more than 3 MSEK.
Ulf Rask, CEO of Clean Motion, comments: “This is yet another confirmation of the leading role we play in developing the vehicles that will meet the transport needs of the future. Our EVIG already features integrated solar panels, and this project enables us to further advance our solar charging technology and scale these solutions together with other key players.”
Clean Motion is already participating in the EU Horizon project GIANTS, which is progressing according to plan. In the GIANTS project, around 8 MSEK remains to be disbursed over the next 25 months. “With the SOLAR-MOVE project, Clean Motion secures an additional 3 MSEK, bringing the total confirmed EU funding to 11 MSEK. It feels incredibly reassuring to have 11 million SEK in secured EU financing backing our innovation.” says Ulf Rask.
Clean Motion’s participation in SOLAR-MOVE reflects the company’s strong and long-term commitment to using innovation to drive the development of sustainable transport, reinforcing its position at the forefront of the green urban mobility revolution.
