Bastien Schupp, Vice President -Marketing, Nissan

Bastien Schupp, Vice President – Marketing, Nissan, has been confirmed as a speaker at Automotive World Megatrends Europe 14, taking place on September 10-11, 2014.

Bastien took on his current role in April 2012 and is responsible for product marketing, the pricing of vehicles in different markets and the marketing communications for product lines in Europe.

Half French and half German by birth, Bastien attended schools in France but grew up in Dusseldorf.  He attended business school as a graduate which included a year each in Paris, Oxford and Berlin. From that point onwards he was passionate about building brands and seeing how they are established.  He joined Audi after graduating and spent nine years working there in marketing, including a six month stint in Detroit.

Bastien joined Nissan as General Manager Marketing Communications for Nissan Europe in 2005 after spending the previous four years working for Audi France. In 2007 he moved to Switzerland to build up Nissan’s luxury Infiniti division brand as head of marketing for Infiniti Europe. After three years he became Managing Director for Nissan Austria in 2010. He was appointed Vice President Marketing Nissan Europe effective 1st April 2012.

Organised by Automotive World, Megatrends Europe ’14 is a two-day, six-stream conference focusing on Commercial Vehicles and Passenger Cars.

Schupp will speak in the as a panelist on Day 2: Passenger Car in Stream 3: Retail Revolution, which will focus on how the experience of acquiring a car will change in Europe over the next decade and beyond.
