NNG and ANS launch the first full-featured navigation app for iPhone offering Live Traffic in India
India’s latest navigation solution, the ANS Navigator App is now available in the iTunes App Store for iOS mobile devices. The navigation application launched by Ayana Navigations Solutions (ANS) runs on the world-renowned iGO Navigation engine developed by NNG, a global leader of the GPS navigation sector. Designed especially for the Indian market, the navigation app comprises brand new location-specific features, including free Live Traffic, offering an improved navigation experience to drivers.
NNG LLC, one of the world’s leading navigation solutions providers, and Ayana Navigations Solutions (ANS) today announced the launch of the ANS Navigator App, India’s newest navigation application for iPhone. The app, available from iTunes for INR1,650, covers over 1 million road kilometers and offers an extensive Point of Interest (POI) database of more than 6 million places, thus helping users in India find hotels, restaurants, businesses or fuel stations along their route or around their destination.
The ANS Navigator App is designed to guide users to their destination faster and safer by offering a set of advanced and location-specific features. The free Live Traffic function, available in 11 Indian cities, delivers real-time traffic information and automatically calculates alternative routes to avoid crowded road segments. The Point Addressing function allows users in 16 cities to enjoy the benefits of door-to-door navigation. Realistic junctions provide lifelike images of motorway junctions for easier orientation, while the Driver Alert, available in 20 cities, warns drivers of road regulations and situations requiring special attention, for example in school zones. All these features allow users to plan their journey more effectively, therefore save a significant amount of travel time. With the next update, ANS and NNG will extend the ANS Navigator App with extra features, including Historical Monuments and the India Local Guide, downloadable from the application’s in-app shop.

The ANS Navigator App uses maps of its content provider partner NAVTEQ. Following the purchase of the application, ANS will make the latest maps available as part of the free software updates, depending on availability.
