<Impact on business continuity>
AIK and AIKC operations were suspended after the earthquake occurred at 9:26 PM, April 14.

After the earthquake, all AIK and AIKC employees were evacuated from company buildings for safety reasons. Since then, due to repeated aftershocks, it has not been possible to enter buildings to observe the degree of damage.

Once safety has been assured, we will move forward with efforts to verify the degree of damage, and work to restore normalcy so as to resume operations as soon as possible.

There has been no significant damage to AT-K or any other Aisin Group companies in Kyushu.

3. Aisin Seiki’s response to the earthquakes

Since the earthquake, in addition to sending humanitarian assistance in the form of water, food and other relief supplies, we have dispatched 71 employees (as of April 17) to the affected region to assist with relief and reconstruction efforts.

In response to the suspension of operations at AIK and AIKC, in addition to working toward the swiftest possible resumption of operations, we have shifted these companies’ production to other facilities in Japan and overseas, making every possible effort to ensure delivery of parts to our customers goes on uninterrupted.

Moving forward, Aisin Seiki and the entire Aisin Group will work together as one to restore normal operating conditions. We thank you for your understanding.
