Volvo’s 800,000 sales target justifies production investment

The OEM intends to invest in manufacturing facilities across the world as it keeps up with growing sales, writes Michael Nash

Volvo Cars delivered 256,563 units during the first six months of 2016, marking a 10.5% year-on-year (YoY) sales increase. Although it is positive about the recent growth, the Swedish OEM has plans to build on this figure significantly. As a result, it will look to further invest in production plants across the world.
