Scania steps up to Brazil ‘challenge’

The OEM isn’t fazed by the difficult market conditions in Brazil and has made further investment, observes Michael Nash

Along with Russia, the current economic conditions in Brazil have been a headache for many OEMs. The consistent decline of heavy commercial vehicle (HCV) sales caused some, like Daimler, to take evasive action in 2015 by cutting jobs. Others, however, continue to invest in Brazil with the hope that the market will return to strength.
